The following has been updated in v2.1.0 of Anthology:
With v2.1.0 of the Anthology beta build, we've released our Notification system! You'll receive alerts and messages when key events happen involving your account and your network moving forward. With the new notification system, here are some of the alerts that you'll receive:
These three sets of notifications make up the foundation of our notification system. We plan to use this feature more heavily in upcoming changes to the platform that will further drive engagement, content views, and network growth organically on Anthology.
Notifications can be accessed by tapping on the bell icon in the top-right of your Profile Page
Please Note - you should be prompted by the app after updating to accept notifications. If you run into issues, or if the prompt does not appear, please delete the app and reinstall fresh. Alternatively, you may go into your device settings and turn on the notifications for Anthology manually.
If there are any other issues, please contact us so that we may assist you.
In this latest version of Anthology - you'll notice a new detailed post view page that links to the notifications system. Tap on one of the notifications that reads user has liked your post! and be brought to a detailed view of your post that includes a list of every account that has liked it.
This detailed view page will be live tested and we're eager to hear your feedback and suggestions for using this in more areas of Anthology in future versions.
In v2.1.0, we've updated how the layout and look of several components appear. For one, all the fonts across the platform are smaller and tighter than before to make the presentation of the app more appealing.
Similarly, the Points of Interest and Hotspot icons on Explore are larger to make them easier to tap.
Finally, you'll notice on the Profile page that we've consolidated the Organize Portfolios, Edit Profile and Settings icons into one, new Menu button.
This was first to reduce the number of buttons appearing on this page, but it was also used to make room for the new Notification page mentioned above.
Let us know what you think!
In this new release, we included updates and transparency to Hotspot icons and Hotspot Challenges on the Explore page. Now, when you tap into the title card on a Hotspot Challenge, you'll see information for the prize amount, the sponsor of the contest, logos for the sponsor(s), and the rules for the challenge.
This is to make the Hotspot Challenge mini-games more clear and accessible for future growth - where now we can include specific information for new challenges that open the door for unique photo opportunities and better prizes.
While Hotspot Challenges are currently being piloted on a local level, we look forward to expanding this feature across the country and we hope you enjoy it when it reaches your market.
If you come across other bugs in this release, we invite you to let us know about them so we can add them to our project list.
With the notification system completed, we're turning our attention towards our final feature of the beta build before formally "launching" the platform out of beta. While we will update our users as we reach closer to the resolution of engineering, we can say that this feature will work to provoke creativity, spark content engagement, and build organic network growth opportunities.
We're excited to bring you this feature in a forthcoming update before turning our attention to user growth and optimizing the features we have available now on Anthology.
