Important Status Update on the Anthology App

Over the last four weeks we have embarked on a complete overall of our systems. Our CEO, Will Ciolino, has offered more insight into this decision here on his personal Substack channel on why exactly this decision was made.

With that said, our new team is quickly moving through our requirements list in order to complete the transition of work and deliver an update to our existing beta app users, as well as to begin exploring options for growth and scale.

We are currently using the following naming convention to differentiate between the previous work and our new development: "build-#"

Our team has just entered build-5 beginning today. We are working on a weekly cycle for updates.

Current App Work

#build-5 | development / internal testing | due date: March 10, 2023

• in-app & push notifications for users (frontend & backend development)
• resolve build-4 bugs
• begin work on Flash Challenges (finalize design, frontend & backend development)
• work on v3 of uploading images (improved performance)

#build-1 | development / internal testing | Feb. 10, 2023

• setup new technology stacks for backend and databases
• completed user authentication screens & functionality
• migrated data from previous system into new system associated with user Profile page

#build-2 | development / internal testing | Feb. 17, 2023

• completed first edition of user Profile page using migrated data
• migrated images uploaded in previous system into new system and connected them with our new tech architecture
• completed first edition of Social page using migrated image data
• migrated Followers and Following data from prev. build
• completed showing Followers/Following page access when on a user Profile

• completed all profile data migration
• added new functionality on Social page to route the viewer to Portfolios
• added a new 'detailed view' of an image on Social Feed - showing a list of those who liked the image
• Added 'Create New Portfolio' functionality on Profile page
• migrated existing data for Portfolio categories
• Created and completed screens for listing Portfolio Categories
• Added 'Create New Category' functionality with new animations

1. completed design + functionality of Settings Screen and all user routes

• functionality added to contact us from the app

2. v2 of optimizing image loading and resolution on all screens

3. squash user interface bugs

4. added default cover image on new Portfolio + added support in the case a cover image is deleted by the user

5. fixed backend issues related to uploading images from the app (v2)

6. added support & functionality for editing existing portfolios

7. functionality added to change password

8. functionality added to delete Anthology account (requirement to be on the Apple App Store)
